"Festival de Film Francais 2010", which celebrates French movies all over the world, is going to be held at Roppongi Hills from March the 18th. Jane Birkin, who is the President of this year's Festival will be in town to promote "Thelma, Louise et Chantal" in which she plays the lead role. The creme de la creme of French cinema pour into Le Baron de Paris tonight!
Gaspar Noé
Born in Argentina in 1963, Gaspar Noé is a French film director. Noé's cameras are almost always moving, winding and twisting; he works with lots of dense colors and uses CG in inventive ways. But, his movies are known to leave the viewer disturbed and disoriented. His most recent movie, "Enter The Void", is set in Tokyo and follows recently deceased 20-year old orphan and drug dealer Oscar in spirit form as he observes the life of his long-lost sister. It has been described as a "jarring, surreal and sickening film experience", and a "three-hour-long psychosexual visual headfuck". A preview of "Enter The Void" is being shown at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills on March 20th from 23:45. It will be on show at Shinjuku Cinema Square from May 15th.
