1/29 (Fri) HOUSEE DE RACKET ''FORTY LOVE'' RELEASE PARTY at Le Baron de Paris
HOUSSE DE RACKET is already massive in Europe - the first single from their new album, "Oh Yeah!" was used in a TV ad for Lacoste, which was aired across the continent and their upcoming European tour is sponsored by Tommy Hilfiger. They are also the backing band of BENJAMIN DIAMOND. "FORTY LOVE", their new album, is finally on sale in Japan! It's a fresh French pop sound that has the same level of excitement as the first long-players from Tahiti 80 or Phoenix.
HOUSSE DE RACKET
The story of electro duo Housse de Racket begins in the late '90s when two young men, aged 14 and 15, met each other at high school and hit it off after discovering shared musical sensibilities. The eclectic tastes of Pierre Le Manse and Victor Leroux are typified by the fact that that once performed a song from "Westside Story" wearing Pearl Jam T-shirts. Their first album, Forty Love, a mix of rock, pop, electro, and French house, was released in 2008 to high acclaim. It was like a concentration of 10 years of accumulated music. The name Housse de Racket (racket cover in French) is not so much a reference to tennis, but alludes to the musical genre and the fact the pair makes a lot of noise.
